Health and Benefits of Cannabis
In the year of 2018, people are starting to be more aware of their health and how they can change their habits in order to lead to a healthier way of living. Now a day, it seems like different conditions such as working or studying, can direct to being stressed and anxious. Cannabis is one of the trendy options people are using as a stress reliever. Not only that, but cannabis can be use as a medication for intermediate and advance purposes.
The two active chemicals in marijuana that researchers think have medicinal applications are cannabidiol (CBD) – which will help with the impact on the brain without getting high, and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) – which will help with the pain relieving.
For the general purposes, medical marijuana helps with pain relieve and decreases anxiety. In 2010, study from Harvard Medical School showed how marijuana is reducing anxiety and improving smoker’s mood. A study led by Kim Janda of the Scripps Research Institutes suggests that THC may be able to slow the progression of Alzheimer’s disease. Another study about THC in 2006, which published in the journal Molecular Pharmaceutics, found that THC slows the formation of amyloid plaques (by blocking the enzyme in the brain that makes them), which these plaques are the cause of Alzheimer’s.
